Bicentennial Concert: Duo Siqueira – Lima
On 20 September 2011, guitar duo “Siqueira – Lima” (Mrs. Cecilia Siqueira and Mr. Fernando Lima) offered the “Uruguay’s Bicentennial Concert” at the Musaion of the University of Pretoria. The duo invited two South African artists as guests: Mr. Gerrit Roos and Mr. Jonathan Moolman.
Celebration of the National Day of Uruguay and Bicentenary of the Emancipation Process of 1811
Ambassador Luis Bermúdez hosted a reception on 25 August 2011, to celebrate Uruguay’s National Day and to commemorate the Bicentenary of the Emancipation Process of 1811. In this occasion both Ambassador Bermúdez and South African Minister for Higher Education and Training, Mr. Blade Nzimande, delivered speeches to the guests.
